Darkside, Your frame is killer!!! that use of RC car paint to get the texturing is sweet, and the coloring is great. Thanks. There is no texture to the frame, what you are seeing is a combination of reflections from the LEDs in my Hi-Tec cardboard box and the pearl itself. The frame has a smooth finish believe it or not. Here's a closer shot, it's still hard to see, but it's smooth.  |

Iceman, you are doing a fine job.. I like your air cleaners. They look real in the pics. And drilling out the wheels was a good decision, they came out sweet. Your quality is equal to most people's work here. Thanks Vypurr. No mods or customization to the body. Good paint though, I think. |

I haven't had much time to work on my entry, I've been busy painting my 1:1. I'm having a real hard time finding any good reference pics and I don't really know much about drag cars, so I don't know how much detail I can add. If anyone knows much about drag cars, I could use some advise. I've got the base color on the trans(?), driveshaft, and rear. The tins for the cockpit are painted. I made brake and gas pedals, and a magneto, along with cutting the kit fuel tank to fit my frame.  |

As you're limited on the time to clear the basecoat, I decided to clear it then figure out the graphics. Here she is just finished, two coats with a little Ice Pearl in it. I just painted my 1:1 with this combo.   Here's what the Ice Pearl does when the sun hits it, this is the headlight door from my car in the sun.  |

post of engine mock up has parts by parks hilborn injectors and home made headers out soldier. headers not done yet.  not sure if I want to run the injector balls wife like them if so need to try and find smaller ones  |
