Sprayed the inside of B/M Camaro's Body, after attaching rear section and spoiler. And sprayed the white coat for the graphics. Going with the original B/M Camaro, with rare color. So next will be masking. Will post as more is done. Don't think I have enough hair left to tackle a job like that chassis. Nice job and it looks like close to the kit chassis size.

Time for a little body work. This is the kit I'm working with. I know it's a stretch on being an actual Chevy, but I got the green light from our fearless leader. While the box art is great, the actual kit doesn't live up to artwork IMO. First off this kit is the reason they wrote the song "Baby Got Back". The ass end of this is WIDE! Much wider than a stock Vette. I began by make a cut just behind the top of the windshield across the entire roof. This allows me to narrow the body without disturbing the windshield. Then the front to back cut was laid out and removed. I wound up taking about 3/4" out at the back, tapering to nothing removed at the front. Now the car has some decent proportions to it. Next up was to remove the arch in the body. I accomplished this by making a series of vertical cuts along the bottom of the body's top half, taping the body flush to the table and filling the gaps in the cuts. Once it was dry, the bottoms were cemented in place with a little massaging to get them to fit. I added rockers like on a real Vette to finish off the basic shape.

I started on the Zoomies. I decided the best way to get 8 matching pipes was to bend one and cast it. They will need a little tweaking, but I'm pretty satisfied with how they look.

I did a little more cutting and fitting. A L88 hood was added to cover the open engine compartment. Hey Dave, recognize your hood scoop? After a final mount to the chassis, it was apparent the body sat too high. I added to the rockers and got it back to a respectable height. Next was reworking the cutouts in the body for the exhaust. Other than some inside bracing the body is ready for paint.

Very nice work by all, engines are the most impressive. Getting a good fit on the wild "Stingaree" to the new frame may be tricky. Good luck to all as the progress moves on. Body painting will be interesting, get those air brushes and rattle cans ready!

I just finished putting the clear on the frame. It's a Pactra RC Black base, followed by some Red pearl nail polish, and finishing up with a urethane clear.

Iceman, you are doing a fine job.. I like your air cleaners. They look real in the pics. And drilling out the wheels was a good decision, they came out sweet. Your quality is equal to most people's work here. Darkside, Your frame is killer!!! that use of RC car paint to get the texturing is sweet, and the coloring is great. Looking good there Speedchaser. The wheelwells look good.
