Here is my 1968 Roadrunner. This was made from the AMT Roadrunner kit. It is based on the paint scheme used at the Firecracker 400 that year. This is not box-stock and includes the following modifications, per instruction from Kyle and Patty - as such, it's somewhat accurate: Belly pan covering most of the underside Brass tubing for exhausts Handmade resin wheels and tires Handmade rear end cooler Working hood pins Handmade rollcage Handmade front suspension Handmade intake manifold and air cleaner Added "B" billars to the body

Wow! Great job and I do not remember that color combo. I have one a little later, when he ran both a Dodge and a Plymouth (Sebring?) one year. Thanx for fine fotos and the other great work!

Very very good work. I wonder though, if they used aerodynamic belly pans way back then. The paint scheme is nice too, before they mixed in the STP logo and red. You made one of the last great looking Petty racers, thanx!

Thanks, guys. harron68, in response to your comment about the belly pans, they were not normally used, but they were experimented with. According to Kyle Petty, they had a full pan from the back of the front suspension to the rear end, then from the back of that to the rear of the car. Here's a pic of the car from that year that shows the back of the car with the pan in place
