I built this custom from a '48 Ford Woody kit. I'm proud to say that it received an award at the KKOA Lead Sled Spectacular this last year. ;D
I chopped the top to get rid of the boxed profile.
To modernize it, I made custom slotted wheel covers from sheet polystyrene, frenched in the headlights, and dropped it down and made a sled out of it.
The paint is candy apple red over gold inca. Wood panels are decals that were included with the kit.
The rails for the cargo rack are from a Tijuana Taxi kit. The rack deck, I cut and stained from balsa wood strips.
The surfboards are made from cake toppers with custom pinstriped decals.
