Yarbrough was one of the hotheads of the era, with a temper to more than match his ability. I miss those days we up North never got to see many of the good-ol'-boys back when. The mustang was an iconic "sedan" racer for a lot of amateurs and helped boost the image. As to the ghost flames, he used two paints, one for body color and another for the flames.

The ghost flames were the easiest of flames I had ever done. I shot 2 coats of the Mettallic green jade, let dry for a few days. Then took PSE 1/10th Scale rc car masks, and laid them on the body how I wished. The sprayed 2 more coats of the Jade green. Let dry, removed masks, polished lightly to remove the flame steps. Then gave a clear coat. By using the same color paint for the "ghost" effect it is very subtle.
Thank you all for the kind words. Hope to have a few more built in the next few weeks to post. I have never done a WIP thread, but you never know what is up my sleeves for the coming New Year.
