This started life as an Infini-T kit in which I chopped the front end off and constructed a front chassis from some sheet styrene and spare sprue. I puttied and smoothed in a skull face on both sides of the cab. I then cut out the eyes which will receive some Red Glass. The front and back windows also recieved red glass.
I added the front wire wheels from the Outlaw kit being the ones that came with it were way too small. I then added some custom knockoffs.
I then added some "Bone" radius rods connected with a steel sewing pins. The skull breather made by scaildetail(Thanks Bill!) was the given chrome eye flaps with a sewing pin on 1 side and some linkage from a sail ship model's rope rigging(kinda resembles it)
I then added the radiator shell from the Paddy Wagon, nerf bars to the front as well in the back and a tail light from a mini X-mas tree decoration. Paint is Testor's 1-coat Inca Gold Lacquer base with Testor's Transparent Candy Red over it. I made a custom decal on the back to cover a mess up.
This is a fidgety kit and I had some warping toward one side but I pushed and pulled and got it to fit , and then had to add some support to keep it aligned. I like how the stance turned out.
I need to take some better pics in the sun light..this thing then really shines.
Now like I said, I'm considering some changes. I was thinking of putting some clear glass on the square in the roof to allow a view of the interior as well as some light into the cab which would illuminate the eyes on the side more/
Removing the nerf bars on the front and adding a drag link/
adding a steering rod and/or windsheid braces
Removing the radiator and headlights and replacing them with another PaddyWagon radiator with the head lamps attached to to the corners of the shell and putting a skull face molded in to the front of it (this would take care of the "1912 Fuzz" script on it which doen't work with this build.
