I am always looking to make my own parts and headers were a problem. I used solder but I could only find it in either too small or one large size. The large size was good for big block engines but it added lots of weight to the model. I found this aluminium wire thats 12 gauge. Its easily bendable and you can use aluminium or plastic tubing for the collectors. You can bend the wire into any curve. I wouldn't recommend using metal pliers unless they are covered in cloth as not to leave marks. I bent the wire using the edge of the desk in the picture. After fitting the wire to the shape you want. Insert them into the tube in the order you want them and secure on the back side with super glue. I also took the back side of an exacto knife and added the indentations closing the gaps from the wire to the collectors. Once the glue is dried you can cut the pipes to fit. You can drill holes in the block and slide the wire right in to make it more secure. Dave

Just curious, where did you find that at? Someplace like a Lowe's or somethin? That smaller wire looks perfect to make a roll bar in a future clone build of mine! Thanks for the tip! Todd
