I got tired of all the fords so I decided ta build a chevy from a ford sedan. I had an extra chevy hood but not a grill. I took the one I had and made a mold outa body putty and cast one from the same putty. The body is an old MPC switchers kit that I never cared for. I removed all the ford belting and changed the rear window and built a chevy front window frame.
Once this was done I added the chevy belt lines outa evergreen round stock.
As far as the front apron, I didn't take a pix of that, but I made it outa sheet stock and body putty. Its a little bigger than it should be but it still looks good. I also had ta extend the front of the fenders a bit too and re-add the fender belt.
I used the chevy frame and built the dual springs like chevy used front and rear. I also had ta cast a lot of the hood vents outa body putty from the 2 that I had. The chevy headlight bar was made outa evergreen stock also.
It's a little work but you'll have a one of a kind.
This is my baby though. I sure wish I'd never sold it.
