Hi everyone, my name is Dave, some of you may already be familiar with me. I was invited to join by Bill whom I know from another site. I hope to learn something here and maybe even teach something of what I know. I have seen the nice talent on this site and would like to be part of it.
I have been building models for about 40 years with a few years hiatus during that time. Models have become my obsession and addiction for the past few years (just ask my wife). This addiction came about when I decided to work “outside the box” and discovered that I love it.
Within the realm of models, show cars are my “vice” especially bubbletops. I have a special place in my heart for bubbletops. There is something about that bubble that makes the car. I am totally into cars as an art form. The shapes, designs, colors and the look is pure art to me.
I am always looking for new things to use for building models. I try to make the parts I lack, which becomes the real challenge. I like taking a glue bomb and hacking it apart to create something else. If I can fit one of Bill’s resin skeletons into the build then all’s the better…..
I have a lot of custom show cars to post and WIPs of most of them. Most are designed or re-designed by me.
