The old VW may not be the easiest body to chop. However, this is ONE way of doing it. USed quite often by the 1:1-guys building Volksrods. Even thou my Pictures show a fenderless Volksrod the same method can be used on a body with fenders. 1. Cut the roof off as shown and remove material from A,B and c-pillar. The C-pillar should be cut a bit like a pie-crust: 2. Shorten the body by 2 vertical Cuts, 1 thru the door and 1 behind the door. 3. The roof will be e bit narrow in front so, split it lenghtwise and insert a piecrust-shaped piece of plastic. I made it easy as I decided on a big "sunroof" so I only had to add a small piece of plastic above the windscreen: 4. Glue the roof back and it should look just like this: Good luck!
