A-100 Dodge Van

As the Nova builds come to an end it's time to start another build. I'm thinking this one here in a surfer style look. It will probably be curbside so I can lower the stance. What do you guys think? Be honest? Hehe!

Remembered I had this resin piece. It's going to work out even better. Will probably use different wheels. Maybe some moons on white walls.

Ok change of plans on this one. A good friend made some very detailed suggestions for the surfer van. It got me to thinking and of course why would I do it curbside first of all. I figured a VW pickup and van would better fit the surfer look so those will be coming up later.
Plans for this one will be a shop van that will match the diorama I'm building. I'm thinking matte black with a white logo. Still working on the logo but heres is just an idea. Tires will now change but haven't looked into that yet.

Low rider stance, not my thing in cars or pants. That said, the van as surf wagon is cool, but side windows of some kind would improve the large bland sides. A dark body color minimizes that or a light, cheerful color with windows seems more in the "no problems" surfer style.

I agree! That's the reason for the change of plans in my last post. I will use the VW Samba bus for the van.

VWs were the big deal as they were cheap to maintain and available, like some beach bunnies. I can't wait! One of my builds way back when was a VW van I never finished. To see a good job on one would put a smile on this face!

I just couldn't leave it alone. Flat black is a last resort color for me I think. Sprayed it with Boyd's PurplePearl and cleared it. Opened the wheels wells a bit to make room for Pegasus Holli's. had to move the front brackets on the chassis to leave room. Can't really tell. It was done for fitting purposes and not for cosmetic reasons. Because this will be slammed, the wheels,will roll through the inside of the chassis. Trying to figure out how to go,about this. The stance is,ready though.

Here's how it's going to sit I think. Does the front wheel sit too far back? Is that what it is? I know some of you will say the whole build is wrong due to style. Lol

Chromed the gas tank with this new brand I found. Not too bad.

Fixed the front wheel. Found some bezels and tail lights from my parts box. And cut a grill from a screen door to size. Waiting for chrome on it to dry.

Well here is a quick update. Grille is on and the decals from FirebirdDesigns. I love it. Didn't do the colored ones thinking they would get lost in the purple. I'm good with all white. Still needs rear windows and the interior. A few other minor details here and there.
