I made a clear cover for the rear out of .015 sheet and a piece of .060 half round to hide the glue joint. Then I moved on to the headers and intake. They're made from 1/16"rod.1/8"and 3/16" tubing. I built them off of the car and they don't clear the upper A-arms. I think I'm going to make new arms as I like how the headers fit.

As I said, the headers probably wouldn't make the cut. I decided to go with turbos on this build, this new setup should work pretty good with the idea I have in mind. I used a cut down dash pod from a 58 T-bird , then scratchbuilt the face, column drop and gauges. I also made the tach.

Anyone want to guess what this is? In real life, this part would not have a rod sticking out of it.

Back to work, I got a second engine and can start mocking them up. Now to ties these into the mix.

Your scratch building and creating of parts amazes me!
This is coming along great.

After a trip to the tubing bender we have the turbos mocked up. I had to rework the driver side turbo to make the inlet and exhaust mirror the other one. First bends Fitting the exhaust to the turbo. The intake plumbing is fit. Now I need to find some nice looking scoops or airfilters.

More plumbing. Now to figure out how to finish it off.

After hours of trying to come up with a way to finish off the intake I got so mad I threw the plumbing in the garbage and started over. I wound up doing basically the same idea, only this time the tubes go into the radiator shell where I'll hide the aircleaner.

I like that Turbo set up! Not overly complicated like some.

This is one creative mind at work! Thank you for sharing, so would it be "slant six times two" or "tilted sixes"?

I finally got back to work on this project. To detail the engines a bit, the molded in mounts, starters, and oil filters were ground out and filled. Then new pieces were made along with new distributors. I also have the frame, cage, engine blocks, and front engine mount in color. I's a nail polish called "Buffy the Violet Slayer". It looks like purple anodize. I hope to clear these parts tomorrow.

A little more work. The rear shocks are constructed but not yet painted, and the brake line for the rear calipers is done. The intake, headers, and turbo bodies are mounted.
