Here's my newest project....yes another one. It's the low rider kit but I will be turning it into a custom and not a low rider. I'm thinking a two tone white and blue. Here it is prime red in gray, then flat white. Needs some sanding and will lay down some paint in the next few days hopefully. Maybe something like this Any ideas welcomed. Vision just starting to come together. Thanks for looking.

Looking forward to seeing this finished. I've always really liked the 66 Riviera.

Worked a bit on this... So white lightning was thinner than I thought so spend the afternoon sanding so I could retouch it. Here's what the icy blue looks like. This is the first time I use this and I'm loving it. The engine parts look great.

I have a few rolls of different width from tamiya for pins tripping but I usually use blue painters tape for big masking like this one. If the edges aren't straight I take a large strip, place on a clean mirror, lay my metal ruler on top of it and slice with a brand new blade.

;D Thank You on the tape Ice! I have both, do you just put the blue tape on the car or do you burnish it? Later Russ

Here's what I do that works for me. After plenty of drying time on the first color, I wash it and dry it with a hair dryer. Gives it that smooth feel. Think bowling. I place the tape applying extra pressure to the edges with a soft cotton rag. I give it 4-5 thin coats of paint depending on the brand. As soon as I lathe last coati peel off the tape before the paint dries. I get some pretty crisp line most of the time. One thing you can do just in case is clear the first color. That way if the second color bleeds, you should be able to re-tape after it dries and clean with some paint thinner. I'll show pics when I start the taping of this one so stay tuned for that part of the build. Ok here is where I'm at with the engine. Drilled some holes. The distributor is on and the boots are on. I'll start the clipping of wires tomorrow hopefully. Super happy with results so far.
