I took a Revell VW ‘60’s Beetle (the flowered one), and added a customized Beatnik Bandit frame and suspension. I then cut up the front of a ’57 Vette and shrunk it down for the front end. The grille is from an old Cadillac.
The Vette dash went inside along with seats from a ’74 Vega. I removed the rear seat and added speaker grills all on top of black felt.
I added louvers to the rear window and sunk the tail and reverse lights. I took red and clear trees ground and polished them for rear lights. Of course it needed a huge Fire Dome engine to power this bug. Taking Ira’s and others advice I made a mount for a double blower and added a belt made from masking tape. The headers are scratch built from 12 gauge aluminum wire and tubing. I scratch built the blower hats and the decals. Monogram slicks with the squared edges sanded off and Garbage Truck wheels. Finished off in Testors Lime Ice with silver fogging.
