I picked this up at NNL East this year. I love panel delivery trucks and this one is cool. All that was there is the body hood/sides and the 2 rear doors I found this picture of the original box. Here is what I got: I did a quick mockup for visual ideas: All the hinges were broken off, so I made some new ones and added them as well as some missing body parts that were also broken. I took a frame from my frame junk pile and altered it. I think it was from a pick up truck as it had short running boards. I cut off the running boards and fuel tank. Then I shortened it and added a floor. I cut off the rear fenders from a ’32 Ford and altered them to create inner wheel wells. I probably could have purchased the correct frame and chassis parts……but where would the challenge be? I’ve got a junk yard full of parts that cry out to be used and a Dremel that threatens to cut me if I don’t use it. Besides, there is nothing like a whirling blade spitting chunks of hot plastic all over me and the desktop. Can I hear a Hallelujah? OK, enough of the plastic sermon….. I glued the wells to the inside of the body to act as stops for the chassis. Dave

Thanks guys for all your interest.
The hinges keep falling off. I think I will carve slits thru the body and push the hinges thru the slits and glue a backing on them for more support.

I like your rear tires too Dave. What did those come out of ? Those rims are cool looking too. Awesome build Man!! Thank You for sharing ;D Later Russ Thanks I got the tires from a model show. They were made from a rubber compound and were labeled as "Blems". There is some rubber missing on the inside where it didn't flow into all of the mold. I have had these tired for a few years and was waiting for something to come along to put them on.....and this is it! The wheels are chrome reverse with hub caps from a '64 Chevy pickup. I wanted lookers to know that this was a Chevy not a Ford. I have it painted and just made some farm decals for it. After I apply the decals I will lacquer it and then it's on to the final assembly. That sounds simple but it is still lots of work to finish. Dave
