'64 Chevy Pickup "Surf Truck"

G'day,
This was my first attempt at modifying a model back in 2008.
350 Chevy Nascar engine, ripped out the bench seat and put in bucket seats from an early 70's Camaro, scratchbuilt center console and door panels. Deck cover has working strut arms, surfboard bed rack has working rollers. Surfboards are all made to scale and are painted with spray cans.
The theme is, surfer dude builds customs boards and delivers them up and down the Aussie coast, always searching for that perfect wave along the way.

Learned a lot with this model, most of the additions are household items. Guitar string, phone wire, the struts are made from pins, beads and the ink tube from a pen. The bed cover is a dvd cover, surfboards are made from a thinner pc covers. The bed rack is styrene rods and flocking on the rollers.
The beach pics look great, don't they. I've got a big photo one blown up and framed!
