Received this Barris bed buggy in super sad shape. I am a addict for wild show cars so the process begins.. As you can see from the photos the frame and all was in a bad way with glue and broken parts. Here is a little walk along the restore of the bed buggy.. Enjoy.. What I am shooting for in the end. ;D The beginning.. Bed Frame rebuild from styrene ... Front axle hanger, bed frame and rear engine mount straightened... New engine. Need to finish stacks and pipes..had to make 1 intake piece from styrene..Never know where you would find the parts.. The almost finished frame and engine.. Frame is champagne gold. Stay tuned for more updates later on in the week. I just can't let this one dye.. Hardest part is going to be the headlights..Unless someone has any ideas of a kit that has similar lights..

Here is where I am at on the rebuild. The bed part added along with a few detail. Thanks to Terry( MustangMalitia) for the Leopard print for the Blanket cover. The sheet material is vinyl patch material. Roof color is champagne peral, Engine mounted. Last picture is the final test fit of parts.... I hope but don't see it coming that way.. These rebuilds take alot of fit,measure,fit,measure...for sure.. Hope you guys are enjoying the walk through this build..

Give a big shove over the weekend.. Almost on the done list. Made the exhaust pipes from styrene and aluminum tube. Now to wait on the headlights and make the wheelie bars. The windshield frame is in the repair stages.. Made a real nice display piece for the showrod shelf.. Been a fun and long awaited project to do. Now if I only had the other one done this far..
